A Saudi woman who filed a divorce case against her husband rushed towards him in court and slapped him in the face after he insisted on a cordial settlement, a newspaper reported on Monday.
The husband has just told the judge in the eastern town of Khobar that he favours a peaceful solution to the dispute with this wife when she ran towards him and gave him the slap.
The judge immediately expelled her from court and decided to grant her a divorce but demanded her to pay back the dowry to her husband. Her lawyer denounced her act as “shameful” and said it influenced the judge’s decision.
“She did not respect the court and turned it into a wrestling arena…she only condemned herself by this behavior,” the unnamed lawyer told Kabar newspaper
